Before we move towards today's edition, I thought to start with a disclaimer. Some of you who commented on the Winter Arc post from my IG might get this info twice.
Because, the initial plan was to share this with the people who read that post since this mail is an elaborated version of that.
But, the email turned out to be so informative that I couldn't help but share it with my community as well.
So, yeah that is what the disclaimer was, now back to today's edition.
We have officially entered the most powerful season of the year.
Welcome to your "Winter Arc," a period where you can step into a cocoon of self-improvement and emerge in 2025 as the best version of yourself.
Now while on one end, winter is a time to slow down and reflect, it’s also a unique opportunity to focus inward, take intentional action, and transform.
And since I went MIA for the last month, I thought why not resume this edition with a roadmap that I use to elevate myself, and help you become the best version of yourself even before 2025?
If you want to head into the new year with momentum and purpose, now is the time to take charge of your life. If you start now, I promise, you will not need another resolution to change your life.
Here's how you can make the most of your Winter Arc:
✔️ Clarity is Everything
Before you begin, you need to get clear on what your best self looks like. And for that, you need to ask yourself these questions:
➡️ What is your ultimate vision for 2025? How do you see yourself in 2025?
➡️ What kind of habits will support that vision?
➡️ How do you want to feel emotionally, physically, and mentally?
➡️ Which area of your life do you want to level up in first? Is it income, career, fitness, personality, and social life? Pick only one to start working on it.
➡️ What changes do you need to make to align with your goals?
Now, the reason we are starting with this process is because, before you commit to an action, you need to be crystal clear about where you stand and where you want to go.
If you have a point A and point B set in your mind, only then can you align your actions to move towards your best self version.
So grab a notebook and define your North Star.
✔️ Set the Foundation with Systems
Winter is a great time to focus on building strong systems that can carry you through the year. Whether it's creating a solid morning routine, developing better work habits, or incorporating daily movement into your schedule, this is your chance to establish routines that your future self will thank you for.
I strongly believe in the saying, “You don't rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your systems.”
Now, there are approximately 10 weeks left till 2025 begins, so take full advantage of this time and start building your foundation. You can start by listing 10 habits you want to build & each week focus on incorporating one new habit into your routine that helps you get closer to your best self.
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Working out
Reading
Journaling
Cutting junk
Going on solo dates
Meditating
Learning a high-income skill
waking up 30 minutes earlier
challenging a self-limiting belief
Self-care days
And in case, you feel overwhelmed seeing this list, then just pick 1 and start small.
Aim for consistency in your life. Even if the starting feels imbalanced, you have 365 days to solidify this momentum.
And for those of you, who are struggling to structure or even find their systems, I recently shared 7 systems that can help you get started, which you can watch by clicking on this link.
✔️ Embrace the Power of Solitude
Okay, this point is primarily for those who feel that winters are for staying indoors and alone.
So, if you too fall into that category, use this trick to your advantage.
Instead of reclining in your room, get a cup of hot chocolate and take this time to go inward, reflect, and focus on your self-development.
A couple of things that I will suggest are journaling and meditation. Another thing you can do is find books, videos & courses that help you master that area of your life. Replace mindless entertainment time with these things & see yourself transform
This will help you reprogram your mind, strengthen your vision, and clear out that mental clutter.
And for those of you, who had made resolutions at the start of the year and wish to stick to them, take this time to re-assess what you had in your vision board & make a list of all the goals you are yet to achieve. You can remove anything that no longer aligns with your vision & note down the ones you still want to achieve. Once that is done, schedule time in your calendar to actually work towards these goals in the next 2 months.
My agenda behind suggesting so many things is not to confuse you. You can pick what you want to take away with you.
What I am trying to establish here is that winter ARC is not just about doing more; it's about being more – more intentional, more aware, and more focused on who you are becoming. I will be listing down some resources that you can go through as a part of this journey at the end of this newsletter. So, don’t forget to read it till the end.
✔️ Audit Your Environment
Your environment has a huge impact on your habits and mindset. Any action you might be taking has some form of correlation with your surroundings.
That’s why for this step, I want you to take a look at your surroundings – your physical space, your digital world, and even your social circle. Make changes that support your growth. This might mean decluttering, removing unnecessary distractions, limiting social media consumption, or surrounding yourself with people who inspire you.
Take one day out in a week to:
Declutter your physical space
Do a social media audit & unfollow accounts no longer serving you
Do a social circle audit & start to distance yourself from people who drain your energy.
By doing these 3 things, you are creating an environment that supports your goals and will make it easier to stay on track, especially when motivation goes down.
✔️ Plan for Setbacks
We are humans, and humans are bound to have setbacks. This is why, it's important to remember that winter isn't all about perfection. There will be days when you won't feel like sticking to your routines or when life throws you an unexpected situation that needs your attention right away.
And that's okay.
Only when you create a plan for those inevitable setbacks.
Ask yourself, "What's the smallest possible action I can take when life gets hectic?" Whether it's a 10-minute walk or reading a single page of a book, these small actions also matter and will keep your momentum going.
✔️ Celebrate Your Progress
Lastly, don't forget to celebrate along the way. Each step you are taking during your Winter Arc is getting you closer to the best version of yourself.
Reflect on your progress weekly, give yourself credit for sticking with it, and use that energy to push forward into the new year and new YOU.
